Speaking at the ceremony, H.E. Mrs. Selamawit Kassa emphasized that streamlined cooperation among the parties will help position Ethiopia as a preferred stopover tourism destination by leveraging service excellence and joint promotions.
She noted that Addis Ababa has become Africa’s largest air transit hub, thanks to Ethiopian Airlines’ ever-expanding global service.
The liberalization of Ethiopia’s visa policy, including the rollout of e-visa and visa on arrival service, further contributes to creating an attractive environment for stopover tourists.
Newly developed tourist sites in Addis also enhance the city’s appeal as a stopover destination.
