The Vice Chairman, Lagelu Local Government, and the political head of Lagelu North LCDA, Hon. Sadiq. O. Raji, have congratulated Muslim faithful in Lagleu Local Government, Oyo State, and the country in general on the celebration of Eid-el-Fitri, which marks the end of the Ramadan period.
In his Eid-el-Fitri message from his media office, Hon. Sadiq. congratulated Muslims on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast, stressing that witnessing another Eid-el-Fitri is a special privilege from the Almighty Allah and not by power or might.
He said despite the current situation in the country and in the world at large, which has made it imperative for Muslims and adherents of other religions to live in love, peace, and harmony with one another so that they can collectively confront and arrest the menace of violence and banditry.

Hon. Sadiq commended Muslims in the state for their unflinching support for Gov. Seyi Makinde led administration through prayers, counsel, and active participation in governance. He also appreciated the Muslim Ummah for their contributions to the religious harmony being enjoyed in the state, the local government, and LCDA.
He called for the continued peace, progress, and prosperity of the Lagelu Local Government and the country at large under the leadership of Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen.
According to the Hon. Sadiq, Islam is a religion of peace that upholds the values of tolerance and mutual coexistence without a place for hatred and violence.
He therefore urged Muslims to use the period to build relationships of friendship and harmony with fellow citizens of other faiths.
Hon. Sadiq prayed to Allah for the continued peace, progress, and well-being of the country.
