Ashraf Syed, At World Bank and IMF Spring Meeting, 2025
The 2025 Spring Meetings of the World Bank Group (WBG) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) were particularly significant due to several key global economic and geopolitical contexts; the event was scheduled for Monday, April 21, to Saturday, April 26, 2025. Washington, D.C.
The meetings took place amid a fragile global recovery from multiple overlapping crises—climate shocks, debt burdens, inflationary pressures, and post-conflict rebuilding efforts. Leaders and economists used the platform to coordinate policies for restoring stability, reviving growth, and reducing inequality.
The International Commission of Culture and Diplomatic Relations (ICCDR) highlights the participation of Mr Ashraf Syed, Assistant Secretary General for U.S. Affairs, ICCDR, at the prestigious 2025 World Bank Spring Meetings in Washington, D.C.
In a statement received by the Dotolive News Magazine, it was noted that Dr Srinivasa Rao Eluri, Secretary General ICCDR, and Dr Sunitha, Asst. Secretary General, were invited by the World Bank, but Mr Ashraf attended as a representative of ICCDR.
