President Tinubu
A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Obidient movement member, Dickson Iroegbu, has accused President Bola Tinubu of waking up very late to tackle the insecurity rocking Nigeria.
Iroegbu made this statement on Friday when he appeared as a guest on Prime Time, a programme on Arise Television
His comment comes against the backdrop of the heightened security situation across the country.
It was reported that within one week, bandits struck in three states, Kebbi, Kwara and Niger, kidnapping scores of schoolgirls and Christian worshippers.
Reacting, Iroegbu said, “I think the President is rather waking up too late to this insecurity issue, something he should have done since.
“The people of Nigeria want to unite and indeed look for solutions to these issues we are faced with.
“Also calling the attention of APC members and supporters that propaganda won’t work in the same way that economic gains won’t work.
“Let’s stop and realize we have a problem with governance in Nigeria and there is a need for us to tackle it.”
